Omar was studying in the university library when he noticed a phone under the table. He picked it up and looked around, but the room was deserted. In fact, only two students were sitting far away.
Omar wanted to find the owner. The phone was locked, so he could not check the contacts. Then the phone suddenly rang. Omar answered it. A distressed voice said, “Hello? I think you have my phone!” The caller sounded extremely worried.
The caller was Sara, the phone owner. She explained that she had left the library ten minutes earlier. She was already on a bus when she realized that her phone was missing. At that moment, she suddenly understood why her bag felt unusually light. She borrowed her friend's phone and called her own number.
Sara asked Omar to leave the phone with the librarian because she could not return promptly. She was still on the bus and would not be able to come back right away. Omar agreed. Before leaving, he gave the phone to the librarian, who placed it in a secure drawer behind the desk so that nobody could take it.
An hour later, Sara returned to the library. She was relieved when the librarian handed her the phone; her anxiety disappeared and she smiled. “I thought I had lost it forever,” she said.
